About

Indian Classical

Indian classical music is a very old and beautiful music tradition that began in South Asia thousands of years ago. Its roots come from ancient Vedic chants, which slowly developed into organized musical notes and rhythm patterns.

This music is closely connected to nature. Different ragas are created to express specific moods and are often linked to certain times of the day or seasons. Taals are rhythm cycles that give structure and balance to the music.

Indian classical music is usually taught through the guru–shishya tradition, where students learn directly from their teacher over many years. Along with music, students also learn discipline, patience, and values that help shape them as artists and individuals.
